Shipping and Storage Policy
Last updated September 17, 2026
Westbrook Bioscience LLC · All policies
This policy explains the rules and practices that apply to Westbrook's website and organizational research-material services. It should be read together with the other Westbrook website policies.
Order and destination approval
Westbrook ships only accepted orders to approved destinations. An address entered at checkout is not automatically approved. Westbrook may verify the receiving organization and site and may refuse forwarding services, parcel lockers, unverifiable addresses, or destinations inconsistent with the approved application. A residential address may require additional review and is not proof of eligibility.
Shipping methods and timing
Available services, charges, expected transit, and any temperature-control measures will appear in the accepted quotation or order documentation. Dates are estimates and may change because of qualification, inventory, release testing, weather, carrier operations, holidays, customs, safety, or legal review. The purchaser should not schedule time-sensitive work until receipt and inspection.
Packaging and temperature
Westbrook selects packaging based on the product documentation, expected lane and duration, ambient conditions, and purchased service. Westbrook does not guarantee a temperature range unless the accepted order expressly identifies a validated temperature-controlled service and acceptance criteria. A cold pack or insulated container alone does not establish that a shipment remained within a specified range.
Receipt and inspection
The purchaser must provide a secure, authorized, and appropriately staffed receiving location. Upon delivery, inspect the outer package, verify product and quantity, compare the label and lot with the packing list and certificate, document damage or temperature concerns, and transfer material promptly to the stated storage condition. Do not use material with a broken seal, identity mismatch, visible damage, or unresolved excursion.
Storage
Storage statements generally apply to unopened material unless documentation states otherwise. The purchaser is responsible for controlled access, monitoring, segregation, inventory, and scientifically appropriate stability assessment after opening or preparation. Any laboratory stock-solution information is limited to controlled nonclinical work and is not administration or reconstitution guidance for human or animal use.
Problems and international shipments
Report shipping concerns promptly to [email protected] with the order, product, lot, delivery date, condition, photographs, and available temperature evidence. Preserve all packaging pending instructions.
International availability is determined case by case. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the purchaser is importer of record and is responsible for permits, customs, duties, taxes, and destination restrictions. Westbrook will not misdescribe a shipment.
Address Changes and Rerouting
A purchaser may not reroute an accepted shipment to an unapproved person or destination. Address changes after acceptance require review and may cause delay or cancellation. Carrier instructions must not defeat signature, custody, export, temperature, or qualification controls.
Lost or Delayed Shipments
A purchaser should report a shipment that appears lost, materially delayed, or misdelivered as soon as practical. Westbrook may open a carrier investigation and may require written confirmation. Any legally required remedy is determined under applicable law and the all-sales-final Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy. No voluntary return or refund program is offered.
Disposal
The purchaser is responsible for lawful disposal using personnel, facilities, and waste procedures appropriate to the material and location. Products must not be discarded in household waste, wastewater, or another uncontrolled stream unless a documented assessment and applicable law permit it.
Policy Administration
Westbrook may revise this policy prospectively when its website, products, controls, or legal obligations change. The effective date identifies the current version. Questions about this policy may be sent to [email protected]. This policy does not authorize a product, transaction, or use prohibited by law or another Westbrook policy.
