Research Use and Purchaser Eligibility Policy

This policy explains the rules and practices that apply to Westbrook's website and organizational research-material services. It should be read together with the other Westbrook website policies.

Purpose

Westbrook supplies materials through a restricted organizational-purchasing program designed for genuine nonclinical laboratory work. A research-use legend alone does not establish lawful status. Westbrook therefore reviews customers, intended applications, products, quantities, destinations, communications, and other relevant facts.

Eligible purchasers

Eligible applicants may include verified universities, government laboratories, contract research organizations, biotechnology or pharmaceutical organizations, analytical laboratories, and other legitimate entities with qualified personnel and facilities appropriate to the proposed nonclinical work. Eligibility is determined case by case. Possession of a business email, degree, license, or organization name does not automatically establish eligibility.

Westbrook does not approve applications for personal acquisition, household use, self-experimentation, administration to another person or animal, bodybuilding, weight management, anti-aging, sexual performance, cosmetic outcomes, symptom management, or other human or veterinary objectives. An applicant must not disguise a prohibited purpose as research.

Application information

Westbrook may collect and verify the organization's legal name, website or registration, business address, receiving-site address, contact identity and role, work email, purchasing authority, facility type, requested materials, quantity, research description, personnel qualifications, and institutional or legal approvals. Additional documentation may be required where the proposed work, product, quantity, destination, or surrounding facts create uncertainty.

Review and continuing monitoring

Westbrook may conduct manual review and use service providers for identity, fraud, sanctions, address, payment, and security checks. Orders may be held when the receiving address is residential, the email or organization cannot be verified, the quantity is inconsistent with the project, communications mention personal outcomes, order patterns suggest diversion, or other facts conflict with the stated application. No single factor automatically decides an application; Westbrook evaluates the full context.

Approval may be limited by product, quantity, project, person, site, or time. Westbrook may request updated information, re-review later orders, suspend an account, cancel an order, or refuse service. A purchaser must not permit another person to use its credentials and must report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

Prohibited assistance

Westbrook does not provide dosing, cycles, stacks, injection, reconstitution for administration, routes of administration, treatment, diagnosis, patient selection, veterinary use, or individualized health or performance guidance. Westbrook personnel will not recommend a product for a disease, symptom, body function, appearance, or personal outcome and will not help a requester rephrase a prohibited purpose to pass review.

Legitimate questions may concern product identity, lot documentation, analytical methods, nonclinical laboratory handling, storage, shipping, or order administration. Email [email protected] with the organization, product, lot if applicable, and laboratory question.

Purchaser certification

At application and checkout, the purchaser certifies that it acts for the approved organization; all information is accurate; the proposed use is the disclosed permitted nonclinical use; no human, animal, personal, clinical, diagnostic, food, supplement, cosmetic, or consumer use is intended; and products will not be transferred without prior written approval. A false certification may result in rejection, cancellation, suspension, preservation of records, and any action required by law.

Order Pattern Review

Westbrook may compare later orders with the approved organization, project, quantities, destinations, prior communications, and prior transactions. Sudden quantity increases, repeated small orders, multiple unrelated destinations, payment-name mismatches, freight forwarding, or requests associated with administration may require additional review.

Receiving Site Controls

An approved purchaser must receive products at a location under organizational control with appropriate storage and access restrictions. Home-based laboratories and residential receiving sites are not automatically disqualified, but require enough documentation to establish a genuine organizational facility, qualified control, and a permitted project.

Rejection and Appeal

An applicant may ask Westbrook to reconsider a decision by supplying corrected or additional objective documentation. Reconsideration does not guarantee approval. Westbrook will not disclose confidential fraud, sanctions, security, or enforcement methods where disclosure could weaken a control or violate law.

Policy Administration

Westbrook may revise this policy prospectively when its website, products, controls, or legal obligations change. The effective date identifies the current version.
