Electronic Communications and Consent Policy

This policy explains the rules and practices that apply to Westbrook's website and organizational research-material services. It should be read together with the other Westbrook website policies.

By applying for an account, ordering, or supplying an email address for a transaction, the organization consents to receive electronic records necessary for qualification, account administration, security, contracts, invoices, payments, shipping, certificates, support, complaints, corrections, recalls, and policy notices. The user must maintain a working email address and promptly update it.

The account application records the research-use acknowledgment with its time and available origin IP. Checkout separately requests affirmative agreement to the Terms and Research Use Policy through an unchecked control and records the accepted version and time with the order. A user may request a paper copy where required by law by emailing [email protected].

Westbrook does not authorize commercial marketing email under this policy. If marketing email is introduced later, Westbrook will first adopt and implement a separately reviewed program meeting all applicable identification, content, opt-out, and contact-information requirements. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional, security, quality, recall, or legal communications.

Electronic Delivery Requirements

A user needs a device, current browser, working email account, and software capable of opening common document formats. The user may download or print records. If electronic delivery is unavailable, contact Westbrook before ordering.

Withdrawal of Electronic Consent

Where law permits withdrawal of consent to electronic records, a user may request withdrawal by email. Withdrawal will not affect prior records and may require account closure or offline handling if electronic delivery is necessary to administer qualification or orders.

Policy Administration

Westbrook may revise this policy prospectively when its website, products, controls, or legal obligations change. The effective date identifies the current version. Questions about this policy may be sent to [email protected]. This policy does not authorize a product, transaction, or use prohibited by law or another Westbrook policy.
