This policy explains the rules and practices that apply to Westbrook's website and organizational research-material services. It should be read together with the other Westbrook website policies.

Ownership and permitted access

The website, original text, graphics, photographs, branding, layout, databases, and documents are owned by or licensed to Westbrook and are protected by applicable law. Subject to these policies, Westbrook grants a limited, revocable, nonexclusive right to access the website and download product documentation for internal evaluation and permitted organizational research.

Product names may include descriptive chemical names, literature identifiers, or third-party marks. Their appearance does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, patent freedom, regulatory approval, or a license to a patented method or use. Purchasing a quantity transfers no intellectual-property right except the right to possess and use that quantity lawfully within the accepted scope.

Prohibited conduct

Users may not create a false identity or organization; use another user's credentials; bypass qualification or security controls; scrape or harvest the site at scale; probe or interfere with security without written authorization; upload malicious code; copy or alter a certificate; remove notices; misrepresent product grade or approval; use content to promote human or veterinary use; frame or republish the site misleadingly; or use Westbrook's name or branding in a manner suggesting endorsement.

Automated access is prohibited except through an interface and terms Westbrook expressly provides. Westbrook may limit access reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, records, and compliance program.

Copyright concerns

A rights holder who believes website material infringes a copyright may email [email protected] with identification of the work, the material and location, contact information, a good-faith statement, an accuracy and authority statement, and a physical or electronic signature. Westbrook may request additional information and respond as appropriate.

User Submissions

A user retains ownership of material submitted to Westbrook but grants Westbrook permission to use it as reasonably necessary to evaluate the request, provide services, investigate concerns, enforce policies, and comply with law. The user represents that submission and use for those purposes do not violate another person's rights.

Enforcement

Westbrook may limit or terminate access, preserve relevant records, remove content, and take other proportionate action in response to suspected misuse. Security research requires advance written authorization defining scope and conduct.

Policy Administration

Westbrook may revise this policy prospectively when its website, products, controls, or legal obligations change. The effective date identifies the current version.
